WHO IS CROIX-VIEW FARM?

About Croix-View Farm
Croix-View Farm hosted its very first event in 2016. Since then, we’ve been honored to host over 160 weddings, along with countless community gatherings and special celebrations. What started as a big dream has grown into a place where love stories, family traditions, and unforgettable moments come to life.
We purchased the property in 2012—when I was eight months pregnant with our son and in the middle of moving (zero out of ten, do not recommend). The land had been lovingly farmed by the Engelhardt family for more than 100 years, and the barn itself dates back to around 1870. While much of the property has evolved over time, that history and character remain at the heart of everything we do here.
The cleanup and renovation took about a year. Believe it or not, couples began booking weddings while we were literally up to our eyeballs in dust. And somehow, it worked. The rest, as they say, is history.
My name is Sara Haase, and I’m the owner and CEO of Croix-View Farm. While I’ve added a little help along the way, this has largely been a one-woman show. On any given week, you might find me mowing, planting flowers, cleaning and setting up the barn, handling marketing, answering inquiries, and working directly with couples. It’s a lot—but it’s also something I truly love.
I’ve spent my career in event planning and marketing, but this is the first thing I’ve ever built that feels deeply personal. Maybe it’s because it’s ours. Maybe it’s because no two weddings are ever the same. Or maybe it’s because I genuinely love people and the stories they bring with them. Is it always easy? No. Is it worth it? Every single time.
I’m a people-person by nature, which means I care about more than just timelines and layouts. I take the time to get to know you, your partner, and often your families too. If that means running a little interference, offering honest advice, or helping manage personalities so you can stay calm and present on your big day—I’m happy to do it.
My goal is always a stress-free celebration. That means working within your vision and budget, offering flexibility with vendors, keeping things realistic (and yes, occasionally talking couples out of way too many s’mores supplies), and focusing on what truly matters.
Croix-View Farm is more than a wedding venue. It’s a place that continues to grow thoughtfully—shaped by the couples, families, and community who gather here. As we look ahead, we’re excited to expand the ways people can connect, celebrate, and create memories on this land, while staying rooted in the warmth and authenticity that brought us here in the first place.
This isn’t just a transaction for me. This is our family home, and welcoming you and your guests here is something I never take lightly. Many of the couples we’ve worked with are still part of our lives today—and that means everything to me.
So if you’re here, consider yourself already friended.
I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Come see what else Croix-View Farm can offer for your perfect day.

The makings of Croix-View Farm! It's hard to believe how far we've come! This highlights the clean-up and construction of the barn and grounds!
It's a family affair. My husband helps when he's not farming, and my kids are getting old enough to help now too!
Wedding day pep talks, just one of my favorite things!
